My first pair!

Just got my first pair of clowns to try and breed black snowflakes from SA



They will have to put on size I think but they are already pair up and doing well and showing a size difference!

i assume you have seperate rearing tank, and are ready to be culturing rotifers and such for the fry....

Thank you and all that is coming. I have rearing tanks, I think 3 - 10 gallons. The flower pots were easy.
Just drilled and divided the 20Long into 2 tanks those will get plumbed into my 65gallon system for ease.

I have to get the air pump and stones. Try and get rotis and plankton locally.

Other then those thing I think it's just a matter of time...

if those are your fry tanks, make sure to black out the sides also

This is just for the breeding pairs. The fry tanks will have white bottom and sides so I can see the fry easier.

Any recommend lighting for breeding and fry?

i'm cheap, I use the cheap 4' T5 shop lights from home depot with 65k bulbs, it's long enough for 3 fry tanks.

Bad idea. like really bad idea. lol sorry. But rotifers are white and if you paint the sides white then the fry will have a hard time eating. Figured that out the hard way....
