My First Photoshopped PIC... Taken with Rebel XSI

Yeah manual focusing defeats the whole purpose. You can move the batteries so that they are the same distance from the camera but wider apart.

Here we go... I chose the middle dot in the viewfinder and put it on the middle battery. Seems to be ok to me.

Maybe my rookieness is what made the clownfish pic blurry!

Could the aquarium glass have anything to do with it? It's 1/2" thick and the pic was taken on an angle...
