hi some suggestions
First, your getting a large diatom bloom in your tank, suggesting it's still cycling. I would say do some water changes, make sure your water sits for 24hrs first with airation to insure proper Ph, test it! Then get yourself a few small Trocus or Nassarius/Cerith snails to help clean your diatoms up. What's your lighting schedule you may want to reduce it. The yellow tail damsel is a great starter fish they can survive just about anything, but their super agreesive, make sure he's your ONLY fish! I would also think of buying some water proof white paint for the inside of your hood, to not only add more reflectivity to it, but to seal out moisture. I would also suggest maybe switching your lights to T5 as those corallife 50/50 bulbs tend to grow algae based on their spectrum, but that's my opinion. Other then that, make sure your flow is right, make sure the surface tension is broken up and I would break up your rocks and either zip tie or glue them using an epoxy or puddy to form a micro reef with shelfs overhangs, this will give ro CBS a place to hide and a place for any new corals that are light sensitive (ie closer to surface)
best of luck and welcome!
