I'm setting up my first reef tank and i need advice.
It's going to be a twenty gal.(all i can afford)
So far my main three coral that i would like to keep are Zoanthus, xenia umbellata and frogspawn...
Are there any specific or particular care requirements for these guys?

Those are all generally hardy corals. Moderate lighting (VHO or PC will be plenty-can even get by with NO's over a 20L softie-Tritons and Blue Moons), and moderate to low flow, and of course, basic stable water parameters (a must for anything).

take it slow. and take advantage of local clubs if you have any around. great source for advice, sales on used equipment, and frags. also they tend to be good people from my exp.

I've found frogspawn to be very touchy about sudden changes in temperature. I've had two different frogspawn colonies, the first was lost during a heat wave one summer, the second died during a downsize from a 75g to a 29BC, during which time temperatures fluctuated in both the old tank, the holding tray for corals, and the new tank.

I have a cream and blue hammer, on the other hand, however, that has thrived through several heat waves, multiple tank moves, and some sudden freezes, along with other softies and even an staghorn acro.

You sound like my tank, only I also added ricordea, green nepthya and some gsp's to it too :-P

I'm on a 29 gallon with 96w of t-5ho, and they're thriving so far
