the chaeto growing green and nicely

this was a piece o a star at the LFS that broke off and I told her if she wanted to threw it in the bag, and he's been moving since yesterday, still dont know if its alive

another starfish, I have another comon orange not like this but he wasn't around for pictures

Still need a background to make it pop. Black or Blue. The wall/window in back of the tank is making it look weird. Very nice tank BTW and killer photos of your planted tanks.

The tank is running great besides a little green algae on the rocks here are the new additions... still no actinics or any blue light but lets see that will be next

Here's an update, day 35 and running, everything is running well, all ammonia, nitrate and nitrite at 0ppm.

Pods are like crazy in the system reproducing you can see them all over the glasses!

I'm dosing live phyto 3 times a week and 10gal water changes, corals are expanding everyday and looking great! New lights are on the way, still with the old ones! And will start seeying flourescent colors!!! :lmao:

Here are some new frags and the light tubes arrived today and installed part of them and it looks great!

this will be the final light setup;

1 giesemann actinic plus , 2 blue plus, ati true actinic, ati blue plus, and a red light tube

Just read through your thread and build. Tank is looking good. It looks like you're moving to the green cycle of algae. Are you using mixed saltwater or can you use NSW? BTW beautiful pics of where you live.

That's a pretty cooling looking starfish. Do you know what kind it is? Doesn't look reef friendly, so may have to keep a eye on that guy.

Thanks, yes I'm having some algae I think its that the tank is fairly new and I use Kent SW mix

I tried now reducing the light period to 6 lights from 10am to 5pm and 2 lights till 10pm and going to see how that goes ...
