After my daughter and I became interested in marine aquariums, I started reading a book and browsing the net. I decided I wanted live rock, and I decided to use Tampa Bay Saltwater as my source. I ordered the "package" for my 20 gallon (long) tank. Richard was always back quickly via email with any questions or concerns I had. Just check out the link to the pics and you will see how my tank has progressed. From empty tank to what it looks like now only 13 days later. The rock he provides is primo. Teeming with life of all kinds. The 1st tank cycle for the 1st part was about 4-5 days, with ammonia never going above .50ppm. The whole process was easier than we had anticipated, and a few days later I arranged to have the 2nd part delivered. He got it to me over the weekend which was nice so I didn't have to leave the office to go pick it up at the airport. I only ordered the 14 gallon package so just the rock, sand, cleanup crew. I got all that and more! You will see he threw in an anemone! also a porcelain crab and a decorator crab, various plants and sponges, even spare shells for the hermits. If you are diligent with water changes and take care to remove pests that may come along with the rock, you will be very happy. My cycle is almost done with this second batch that came in on March 27th. In a few weeks we will add a couple of clownfish, and maybe a blenny and dottyback.

Great job for your first endeavor!

Is the beauty of real live rock and sand.....,makes for an easy cycle.... and nice pics also....and FYI...there are no aptasia in the Gulf, aptasia is an indo pacific specie...the anemones you have are common to the Gulf, and do not proliferate like aptasia do...so enjoy!
