My first zoa, is it spreading?

This is my first tank (65 gal, 3 weeks in) and my first zoa. Last night I saw this little guy apart from the group. Did it break off and float down there or is more growing? (lower right of photo)

Could have just been separated from the original group. I would pull the polyp out and put it on a piece of rubble rock or frag plug (whatever you prefer) and glue it down somewhere.

+1 you dont want to lose the lone polyp. Judging by the pic, it looks very healthy. Get it away from the sandbed and relocate it higher in the rockwork. You will probably have two colonies in no time! Also, a very beautiful specimen.

Thank you for the advice and compliments! The second I get home from work today I'll be sure to move it to safety. Excited to know it'll start a new colony :)

just leave the polyp alone. It detached from the original plug and set there.
No big deal.
Do not remove it. Let it grow there. No reason to remove.

Grandis.
