My fish dosent look happy

My blue hippo tang has been swimming in the corner of his tank, it is a brand new setup, i just joined the reef hobby, since i am new to this i am not sure whats wrong, if anyone can help me with this that will be greatly appreciated.
I only have a couple of corals currently in the tank, i'm thinking this might be affecting him.

Tank Stats: Fluval evo 5 gallon all in one.
Tank parameters: All nitrogen around 0
except nitrate is 5ppm.

But he is only an inch my friend told me he would be fine in the tank aslong as he is fed well.

Even if you meant 55 gal. You should do some research first before getting more fish.

OP - go to liveaquaria.com to find requirement for the fish you want to get.

Minimum tank size for that fish is 180 gallons... Your friend has no idea what s/he is talking about. I dont know what you mean by brand new setup. Any setup would need at least couple of months to mature before first fish/coral or invert can be added. If you did not do that, everything in that tank will probably die in a week.
