my GSM is so cool...

Yesterday, I was feeding frozen brine shrimp. He kept grabbing little chunks in his mouth and taking em down to feed his nem. He even used his fin once to kinda push it down.
It was so cool :smokin:

Kinda long story, but here goes:

I've had the B&W for 1 1/2 years, then she paired up (maybe) with a false perc for about 8-9 months. I got bored with my tank cuz both clowns ignored the BTA I put in, for a month. I gave the false perc to my LFS.
The GSM has been in there for about two weeks. (hosted immediately, the B&W did the next day) The B&W is bigger. When I first introduced the GSM, the B&W snapped at him a few times, even managed to split a lower fin, but that was healed in a couple days.
The GSM is very friendly, (also has his own RBTA) he's always going over to the B&W, but she is kinda un-friendly, and usually pushes him away. but no damage on the GSM since.

It's pretty tough to predict how any clowns will react to another one. I know maroons can be very territorial/aggressive. Also, you have a little less room than mine do, so it's a tough call
If it were me, I'd talk to my LFS about it, and make sure if yours attacks the new guy, you can pull him out and take him back.
hope that helps

It helped a little. I have tried pairing with another GSM and the new one took victory while i was at work. So now I am thinking i may have to resort to another type of clown other than the GSM. Not sure what I want though.

Bummer, I think it's always best to add a smaller one. And you should be around to pull one out if necessary. Two female maroons will fight to the death. (i've heard)

The GSM you have would probably kill any newcomers. esp in a 29g. How long has it been in there?

Well the old one was in for about 5 months when I decided to put the newb in and the newb was also the smaller. With that being said newb took victory and now is the keeper of the tank an this has been the case for 3months. So I am stuck, I want a clarki really bad like crackheads want their fix!!! I have seen one at the LFS for a while now and he is so badbutt.

Well, I had my false perc for at least 8-9 months (Dill)
you can imagine, it wasn't easy to just give him away.
I say, if you REALLY want that clarki, find a good home for your GSM, and get what you really want. I've always wanted a GSM, so I'm stoked now

OR, setup (oh I don't know) a 125g and go wild! haha
probably only be like two or three grand. lol

I have a 42gal hex that I just might have some fun with, OH and about 25 lbs of free tonga so im gonna go wild with that!! The first GSM I had was free so it wasnt something I always wanted just happened to get one and the second was gonna be "mate" but that plan backfired hard. As for the original intent of this post, my GSM feeds my GBTA too and its so raw.
