My Hermit Isn't Coming Out Anymore

My tank is 4 months old. All my tiny hermits have died. I have one large hermit, one large ruby mithrax, one condy, an engineer goby, a pj Cardinal, a small green bird wrasse. The tiny hermits were gone before the bird wrasse was added- he's only been in the tank a week now. But my large hermit will not come out of its shell. He's alive, his legs pull even further in when I look inside. But he's inactive all of a sudden. I'm going to try to coax him with a bite of silversides. Why are my hermits dying?

Yup, the Wrass.

From another site:
Food and diet:The Green Bird Wrasse diet should consist of a variety of meaty foods, as well as live clams, crustaceans, and worms (including fireworms).
Reef Compatability: Not recommended

We always do a lot of research before we buy anything. I'll move him to the quarantine tank- it hasn't been used for anything yet. We'll see if he does any better. I have had off from school for the entire time we've had the wrasse. I watch him constantly. I've never seen him investigate any of the shells in the tank and my mithrax doesn't even put his claws up to the wrasse. It's just odd to me that he'd be afraid. I'll move him and keep you posted! Thanks so much for your help!!!
