My humble 270 gallon!

I have been trying to figure out what kinds of full stock list I want in this tank,
Here is what I have from the 150 gallon
Sailfin tang
orange shoulder tang
yellow bellied blue hippo tang
yellow tang
two clowns ?
Leapord wrasse
flame angel
bicolor angel
manderan goby
cardinal
one other little goby or somethng...
oh and the four chromis in the 270 now
I was thinking maybe one or two more blue hippos, firefish, or a small group of cardinals, here is the toadstool half hour after i put it in the 270

I will get more tommorrow I think the rest of the stuff is going in, I will see. thinking about ordering some other fish and putting them in there first because the blue hippos would be about half the size of my current tangs. Does anybody have any suggestions on my stock list.

Took some more today, here is the top right side of the tank so far it has stayed pretty neat, remember this is out in the living room so everything is out in the open.

This is a fun build to watch. Do you have some more corals going in soon, or are you taking your time? Your fans demand more photos.

well for now I am just taking it slow adding corals I don't have alot of experience with them so I don't need to just suddenly lose everything.

I have done two part dosing on my previous tanks but I may have a chance to pick up a calcium reactor not really sure on that yet. I only know of one person that has one on there tank. Anyone have any thoughts I was looking for futrue reference if i leave do they require any extra maint?

So needed updates, the tank is doing good. did a little tinkering today, I had to add a second 500 watt heater the tank was cooling off to much at night and had this in mind for awhile now, I made a simple 2 part doser. I still have to add everyday but it will slowly add the amount needed one drip at a time.

I will see how it works i don't know how well it will do being close to the return pump. may require more maint. some coral pics. I still have to learn how to use a camera :)

Looks like your tank is coming along nicely. Do any of your fish pick on your cardinalfish? I was wondering if they do well with tangs.

Mcfish- I have not had any problems with my tangs picking on anything else in the the tank, (except me I can't put my hand in the water anymore with out the sailfin thinking FOOOD!) there are four cardinals in there one has been with this group of tang since october I believe and the other three I put into the tank for a week before the rest of the fish.

Ackerman- thanks, just to be fair the top row aprox. 6 rocks are from the 150 but the rest was all given an acid bath.

Good looking tank, coming along nicely. Figured out anything about a calcium reactor yet, just curious. I'm contemplating getting one myself, up to this point I have just used two-part.

jube66- Thank you very much, I have a repaired calcium reactor and all the parts here to set it up I just figured I would keep using my two part till its gone, so about three months worth. who knows by that time maybe the growth in the tank will be good and I wont want to disturb anything :)

Crozure, thanks. Its kinda my baby for now.
