what do you mean 'mad that mistake' ... having a shield or not having a shield?

My lighting unit (Giesemann Basic 150) came with UV Glass Shield. Most of the double-ended bulbs come with UV sheild glass.

I've never had MH lighting but I just bought a unit so I still don't understand what you mean...
What's the problem with or without the UV glass shield?

Hey dru, i bought one of these cadlights 22 gal tanks too and mine is doing great. i mostly keep LPS so i didn't need to get the halide (i am scared of the heat). i have only 3 pieces of SPS and 6 pieces of LPS. I bought the Cadlights 6 bulb delux model so i had no problem keeping the sps. i put them about 3" from the top. i saw that you got the 4 bulb set-up?

how do you like the cabinet? i was planning to buy one from their website but thought about getting the tank first. they sell the cabinet for $200 bucks, it seems like a pretty godd deal because it looks like a real custom-made wood cabinet.

i also have a 5 gallon cadlights nano on my desk at work and a 90 gallon oceanic reef in my house. my wife thinks i am a nut for having so much tanks.
