My larger nano build

i've been on RC for a while now but im just now getting around to setting up a reef tank. i've been keeping freshwater aquariums for a few years now and im ready for the challenge.

so far i have a good list of hardware to work with. the build was originally going to be a a 29g DT with a 20long sump/fuge. i found a great deal on a 40br on a local forum so i jumped on it and will use my 29g for my sump/fuge. along the way i grabbed a mag5 for my return pump and on monday i got a nova extreme pro with 4 blue+, fiji purple, and GE 6500k.

i ran into some space issues while setting up the 40g so the 29g may still be in my future.

i need to find a skimmer still. i was thinking a BM NAC6 but i've been throwing around the idea of having the front of the 29g as a macro display/fuge and getting a BM NAC5E HOB skimmer in a smaller back section of the sump.

do you think the mag5 will be enough for the return?

I've also got about 40lb of Cribb sand and 2 K2 powerheads

here are some pics so enjoy and throw in any thoughts you may have on the build so far.

seems like a nice start, i've always wanted a 40 breeder.

fyi bro, nano tanks are now only <34 gallons

Nice setup in the works. I am working on my first saltwater tank as well. I have a couple of freshwater tanks and wanted to give salt a try.
