My Latest FTS

I was not sure whether to post these in the Fish Only forum. However, I am trying to create somewhat of a reef so I am putting them here. I have watched my puffer eat hundreds of dollars worth of corals to arrive where I am today.

My tank is almost fully stocked. The only fish yet to be added are a 3" Blueline Angel and a pair of Wrought Iron Butterfly's who have been enjoying the hospitality of a good friend in Colorado (thanks Chris!)

Also, many thanks to Scott. Without you, this masterpiece would not be a reality.

Amazing display! The fish look very happy. Is there anymore infomation you can share about your tank? Or a place I can find some. Pm or post. Thanks.
Great stuff.

Lovely!!! Can't wait to see it all "grown in" with those corals. How long have you had the scribbled?

Peter,I have had the Scribbled for 2.5 years. He was a DD fish.

Chris, you should think about adding some corals to your new display. It adds a lot of color and movement. It should be a lot easier without a coral destroying maniac (Golden Puffer).

Sick! Very very nice! Excellent fish selection. You are definitly getting some great wroughts as well! Was the scribble always that bright blue? I want one but I want really love the bright blue males!!!

Thanks for all the nice compliments.

As for the puffer, he is a great specimen (another DD fish). When this system was first set-up, it was intended to be FOWLR with mostly angelfish. However, I could not help gravitating towards reef tanks. So I set out to do the impossible- a partial reef tank with mostly "reef-unfriendly" fish. It has gone reasonably well with the exception of the puffer. If not for him, I would have a much more diverse selection of corals. I quickly learned that he decimated any and all SPS and LPS corals. Hence, I was left with mostly star polyps and soft corals. I have thought about selling him on many occasions. However, he is my wife's favorite fish and she has basically said that if he goes so does the tank.

Congrats. Very nice. I think you are missing something to go with the wroughts...an interruptus.

I believe its a 400g 6x3x3, correct me if I'm wrong. Gorgeous tank, I love the addition of the corals. The wrought irons will look amazing in there! So I take it no more triggers, didn't You have a clown? What about setting up another tank as a FOWLR for your puffer so You can really add some corals! I agree, an interuptus would look very nice!

Steve, AngelAddict has the dimensions exactly correct.

AngelAddict, I did have some triggers in there about a year ago, both a Clown and Picasso. They were removed after the first signs of aggression (I saw the clown try and nip my Conspic). As for setting up another tank for the Puffer, I have thought about it. I just don't want to have to put any time and effort into the maintenance of another system. The one I have costs so much money already.
