How forgiving on nitrates are hammers and Frog Spawns?

I am on the line

I guess I will wait. I am fighting an algae bloom on my rocks right now. I am right at 20. I am 1 month 10 days in on the tank. I want to hold off on addressing nitrate issue sans frequent water changes, because I don't want to take the pressure off my live rock to complete the cycle. I am guessing some type of reactor maybe in my future.

I am going to be gone for 11 days coming up, and I know every time those two little clownfish hogs look at my wife she is going give them food (if she isn't giving the dog or cat a treat at the time lol)
