Ok so i was hard headed in the begining of setting up my tank and went with 7 N/O tubes that were 65k yes they were ugly to look at but i did get some growth in my softies then i added actinics which did make it look alot better then i decided to go with 175 watt m/h with actinics that also but i wasnt getting what i was looking for so i switched it up again to 250 watt m/h and now i really like the way it looks my coral are starting to do something that i havent seen alot of an d that is show nicer colors zoo's that i thought were green are actually showing blue rings xenia seem to be more pumped up mushrooms we nt from brown to green and blue i never would have expected from just a 175 to 250 jump would do all this i'm sold on my 250 set up.
