My little nano!

Well I picked this little 5 gallon tank up from a fellow member ( thanks Janie:thumbsup:) and after many days of procrastination I finally decided to set it up. I took some rock and sand out of my 135 along with some water and away I went! I want to go mostly with zoas, ricordia, favia, an acan maybe and hopefully a monti possibly.

Lighting is a current nova extreme 18w x2 t5ho fixture with a current led strip zip tied to the big fixture. I had the led strip from the tank I bought from Janie and thought it would add some shimmer to the tank. The filtration is a Aquaclear 70 that I have modded into a fuge and a koralia nano 240. I need to switch impeller in the ac 70 to lower the flow even more that or cut the flow thingy more on the impeller cover. I plan on going with no skimmer and just a weekly water change of about a gallon or so and manually topping off with ro/di as needed. Let me know what you all think! Oh and if anybody is doing any fragging let me know I would like to purchase some as I don't have anything to trade yet!

Looks great Rob! Glad to see it put to good use. I have some Kenya tree, red mushrooms, and maybe some Evil mel Zoas you can have when I get around to fragging them.

Looks sharp, remind me when I talk to you tomorrow about the monti frag. It might be a little soon for adding a sps piece. If it starts to look rough just let me know and you can trade me out for softie.

Yeah I was thinking the monti on down the road a bit. More focused on the softies right now zoas, rics, favia and maybe some LPS.

I need to take and updated photo. Right now I have a little Ricordia in there and a couple of misc zoa frags that are kind of small at the moment. As far as livestock I really want to foucus on more coral and inverts really as I think they are more interesting than fish. Looking for a pom pom crab and some shrimp and maybe one little blennie or goby.
