My Mantis not eating small feeder fish?

How come my 3" peacock mantis shrimp isnt going after his feeder fish? i figured he would of been hungry after a few days, i also thougt he might not be going after it because he might not be hungry. anyone know whats up with him?

Peacocks don't generally feed on fish. Their dactyls are adapted to prey on gastropods and hermit crabs. Spearer type mantis shrimp feed on fish. If it doesn't come near the peacock, the peacock most likely won't kill it.

feeder fish as in gold feeder fish? i would stray away from feeding any marine animal those. Just stick with frozen food and or hermits and snails.

hes a baby blue chromis, should i not feed my mantis to let him eat it or have them co exist

It would much prefer some hermit crabs, snails, and shrimp. Personally I would add a couple more chromis so there was some movement in the tank when the mantis was in its burrow. Also eing so inexpencive i won't reak your wallet should your mantis decide to dine on fish on occasion.
