This tank was the best birthday present ever ! It's been running since Oct. 12, and I've finaly got it looking somewhat good, and I thought it was time to post some pics.

It's a 90gallon LPS and softie tank. I'm proud to say that there isn't one single "colourful branch" of SPS in my tank. :p

This frogspawn was given to me with two branches, one of which was destroyed by a fish picking at it. It's now fully recovered and has 5 healthy headss.

Another frogspawn, my fave! 7 heads, brown with green and purple tips.

6 head torch.

This fox coral slowly bleached in my tank, and I didn't notice until I went back and looked at the origional pictures. I put it in the shade and it's since fully recovered.

Bubble coral.

Hammer coral. Unfortunatly, I placed another coral too close to it, and the branch on the far right was stung. I kept meaning to frag that branch off, but I never got the time to do it. Then, last week, I noticed that it's regrowing ! There are about ten new heads growing on that branch now.

I'm not sure what these are, I've been calling it a "daisy coral" because that what they remind me of.

There are a bunch more corals in there that I don't have good pictures of....so before you all ask, here's a full tank shot.

Lovely looking reef...nice euphyllias:D

Thanks ! Euphyllias have always been my favorite.

Daisies are star polyps. or actually the book i was checking in also says that they are called daisy polyps so i guess that works.

The Daisies are different than star polyps. I have a colony of those as well. The true scientific name is uncertain so you see them listed under different names from time to time, but usually referred to as Daisy Polyps.

Great looking tank there and your euphyllias are nice.
I've got a few myself and always liked how they look in a reef tank. I was also wondering what kind of livestock you have in your tank?

im diggin everything except the background, and all the power cords.

beautiful corals by the way... trying not to make things sound all negative. your euphyllias are very very nice.

very nice tank and healthy looking corals.
I really like that galaxea it looks very vibrant.
Got two rocks with galaxea one I got 2-3 months ago with only a few heads alive on the rock and another one I got around 2-3 weeks ago with around 20 % of the heads dead. So far both rocks did not lose any more heads but did not grow new ones yet. do you feed the galaxea anything and what kind of flow do you keep it under?

I have the world's most camera shy fish ! As soon as the camera comes out, they all dive bomb behind the rocks.

I have a clown fish, a sixline wrasse, a royal gramma and a foxface.

I know, i know... i chose the black background in hopes that the power cords would kind of blend in and wouldn't be that noticable.

FAIL !

But there's nothing I can do about it, the tank needs circulation and the powerheads are the only way for me to do that at the moment.

OH! I guess I didn't tell you guys that I won the grand prize at IMAC ! A 300 gallon tank, stand, canopy, lights, sump, protein skimmer, EVERYTHING !

now, with that tank, i'll probably be doing a closed loop system, so no power cords in the tank ! YEA !

Poukie, first of all it's good to see you posting outside of the lounge :) second, the tank and corals look great! Third, the grand prize!! 300g set-up! Wow, doesn't get much better than that. Now you will have room for some SPS in that hugh system ;)

Beautiful tank! I am ubber jealous about your recent grand prize!!! I would gladly get rid of furniture to make room for said tank in my living room! HEHE

Yup ! I was shocked when we won ! After the initial excitment of it all, reality sunk in and we reallized "How the hell are we going to move this thing!?" The glass alone wieghs 5oo pounds.

And NO! I shall NOT have any SPS sticks fouling up my pretty flowy LPS and softie tank ! I will not have it !

I really hope non of those SPS junkies pop in here and see this, or I may be burned at the stake. lol
