My mushrooms!

Keeping it Simple
Here is a shot of a mushroom rock in my tank. These guys started out as 1 mushroom that picked up at the LFS for a $1. I ended up killing it (so i thought) when I accidentally spilt reef buffer into a previous tank. Then a month later it came back. I just moved the rock into the new tank about a month ago and now it has multiplied into 5 mushrooms! (not all are shown in the pics). Tell me what you think. Also is this just a harry mushroom?

Those hairy mushrooms are a Rhodactis sp. That blue one with the green mouth is a type of Discosoma, and could very well be a rare morph of Discosoma carlgreni from the Caribbean. Usually they are a bit more "warty", but occasionally I find ones that have only a few sparse "warts" like your show. About 10% of D. carlgreni seem to have that nice fluorescent green mouth too. Its a beautiful mushroom, nice find :)

Anthozoan: Thanks for the help with the id! That would be cool if it was a rare morph.

Kaserpick, Your hairy mushrooms look like tongan pink hairy mushrooms. They are very hardy, just be careful not to place them by anything you want to keep because they will spread and wipe out anything in their path. I started out with three and now one whole side of my tank is hairy mushrooms.
They are beautiful colonies though.
