My New 125 FOWLR

Well, after receiving so much great help and information here, I thought I should share the outcome. My 125 FOWLR project began about 3 months ago after keeping a RSM reef. I loved my RSM, but I yearned for larger more aggressive fish and also wanted something with less maintenance than a full blown reef.

It is an All Glass Aquarium Standard 125 with dual overflows and the All Glass Aquarium modern stand/canopy, 55 gallon custom sump/refugim, Mag 18 return to loclines, Precission Marine ES100 protein skimmer driven by a Mag 9.5, 3 PFO electronic ballasts driving 3 175w metal hallide bulbs with spyder reflectors and 2 cooling fans, 2 PFO VHO ballasts driving 165w blue antic bulbs, 2 phosban reactors daisy chained for GFO and carbon powered by a Maxijet 600, and JBJ auto top off with a 23 gallon top off water container. I have approximately 140 lbs of rock consisting of 100 lbs of Bulk Reef Supply Pukani Eco Rox, 30 lbs of Eco Rox Tonga Shelf, and 10 lbs of live Fuji rock. The display and the refugium each have about 1/2 of the rock, and the refugim (no sand) is also packed with cheateo and graciliria macro algae. I light the refugium with a simple home depot flood light fixture and compact flourecent 100 watt 5500 kelvin flood light.

Well, enough of the stats, below are some pictures.

Thanks Jeni. The rock work took an enormous amount of time to do. No epoxy or acrylic rods. It took forever to get everything look right and maintain a very stable structures which I am confident will not crash. And boy do these guys swim through it. The tank is incredibly active with every fish constantly on the move. Pretty much no one hides other than at lights off, and all are extremely active. Definitely fun to watch. I just got a new camera which caused me to create this thread. The camera does video too so I may give a video a try this weekend and will post a link so that you can check it out.

Looking good! I love that Cuban Hog and the Banana Wrasse! Definitely want them in the future. I may have to decide between the Banana or Red Coris.....hard choice.:bum:
