I am not building this tank from scratch myself. We have a local guy who builds excellent tanks. This is going to be a slow build thread since I will not be filling the tank with water until the end of October.

I'm not sure how to embed pictures into a thread so I'm going to attach them instead.

Tank dimensions 180G
Tank, 96"x24"x16" tall, front pane starfire, 1/2" glass on all sides, polished edges, euro-braced, dual overflows with 1.5" drains and 1" returns, black or blue overflows, black or clear silicone, includes durso overflow plumbing and loc-line returns with all needed bulkhead fittings.

Sump 66.5G
Sump, 48"x20"x16" tall, 1/4" glass, dual filter socks, dedicated skimmer chamber, reactor chamber, return pump chamber and auto topoff chamber.

Stand
Stand, 96"x24"x45" tall, oak with flat panel doors (4), black hinges and pulls, stained and sealed.

Getting ready for the build

Getting ready for the build

Here is the stack of glass and the bottom glass already drilled. I'm going with a closed loop which accounts for most of the holes.

Tank with coast to coast overflow, durso drains and loc-line returns as well as closed loop suction and returns installed.

The Euro-bracing will be added next. I've been buying used equipment off of here for about 4 months. I will upload pictures of my huge Reeflo Orca 250 in the next day or two.

The tank is so long I have to pay a mover to pick up everything and deliver to my house. The big day will be Sept 1st.

I'm trying to make this setup very easy to take care of when I am on vacation. So I am thinking about purchasing either a Neptunes System Aqua Controller or a Digital Aquatics setup.

Does anyone have any opinions or experiences good or bad with either of these setups?

Are there any other computerized aquariums controllers besides these two?
