Rock and corals from my 14g now in my 20L. Tank set up for about two weeks now. Just 2 Koralia 1s, a Rio something, stealth heater, Tunze Skimmer, all in tank. 4xT5s... 2 actinic, 1 fuji pink, 1 10000k.

All soft corals and 3 plates.
Watchman goby, fang-toothed bi-colored blenny, other unknown blenny.

It that the 20L that is the club's frag tank for swaps. Now wait a minute :spin3:, did anybody say it was ok for you to setup that tank and use it as a personal tank? I mean I know that it is your tank, but come on...... -- What are we going to do now? Oh, well, I guess we will have to think of something else.

I cannot believe that you did that.:spin2:

I like the island look too.

Thanks for the comments, folks. It's nice to have a big enough footprint to do something other than a rock wall. Not having enough live rock helps too. :D

@Steve - Yeah, the tunze 9002. You can sorta see it in the back left. The heater and Rio powerhead are back there too; it's one of those 360 degree intake jobs with the weird impeller.
@Seth - yeah, the toadstool is pretty nice, if I may say so. :D I wonder if it will remain 'mushroom' shaped or get concave like most seem too.

thanks russ. prolly tearing this down soon if i get a 40B setup to replace it. should be less cluttered then. looks bad after > a month without a skimmer (failed tunze pump)...red cyano everywhere... and a failed bulb (too white now)... maybe last shot of this tank... crazy how big the leathers are now

Hey bud your tank looked impressive yesterday in person. You will enjoy the 40 breeder, the dimensions are just a lot of fun to work with. I got the guys over at AM to drill my 40 for me and build an overflow box to boot. Love it!

Looks like you got everybody to "œsmile nice for the camera".

When do you plan to have the 40g ready?

what did that cost you? Trey and I were talking about this, but the overflow + labor could be almost as much as the tank! On the upside, they can get the black silicone "deep blue professional" tanks.

Eddie. Not sure. Asap.

Deep Blue makes a 57g rimless, starfire-type glass tank with a center overflow... 36"x18"x20" (same footprint as a 40b). retails for about $325. I might just go with that if I can get it since it will be nearly $200 for a 40b.

That is a nice tank... but you're now going to be getting above your elbow wet. I'm 6'4" and I like having the shallower tank to work with. Call me a baby and all but hey... no stools required here!

wow, that looks really great joel! like something out of a magazine.

i have a neon green toadstool if you'd like a frag...and also loads of live and unlive rock if you need it. :)

Dana - Thanks! I have a "japanese deepwater green toadstool" (the green polyps under the white xenia), but I might take you up on the live or base rock if/when i get the new tank.

Love that 57 rimless, I have an Oceanic 58 now, and I love the dimensions (I am fairly certain they are the same). The only downside is with the added depth you might have to upgrade your lighting, but worth it as the rimless look is pretty sexy.
