My New 260

thats funny you got the caribsea substrate...i just got the same...caribsea fiji pink..3 - 40lbs bags...let me know what you think, I was kinda disappointed with the hues of it....looked more like cat litter...I had picked up a 10lb bag of Nature's Ocean that was Pink Samoa and the difference is night and day. I will get the comparision pics out by tonight.

I was trying to get it as pink as possible and still be natural (my 2 lil girls just want pink colors and nemo, what can you do right?) how far out are you from making water ? (time wise)

Hey ycnibrc. You mentioned in a recent post that if he uses Arag-a-Live sand, it would shorten his cycle to 3 days. Is this true? Im setting up a tank soon using Marco rock and if this does indeed cut my cycling time then Im game in spending the extra money. Thanks

hahaha check out Rick's tank. He has a red flower pot that smoke pot hahaha incredible growth on that tank.

yeah anthony...i did see that...i guess its the size of a basketball now...wow...ive never been able to keep one...

I used that before when I start my tank and within 3 days my nitrogen cycle is done. I think they claim a week but my tank is faster than that. Try to get a fresh bag not the one that sit on the shelve for months. I do use live rock in my system so for your case it might take a little longer with Marco rock. You can seed your Marco rock now with some live rock if you don't have your tank yet.
