my new 29gallon BB

Hey ctreefer what kind of caulerpa is that ?

IMO I seen T5 tanks and tons of MH tanks I like the way the T5's look The colors look brighter

I have a 175 watt MH I think i need to get a better bulb. I don't like my colors at all. I was thinking about getting t5's but I am going to wait to see what happens in a few months.

I was/ am having some trouble with mg , phosphates, nuisance algae.

caulerpa verticallata. Its one of the invasive species listed by the state of California. It grows like crazy with just trace nutrients. Not sure where I ever got it from.

It may just be me regarding the lights. My corals have been very light (color) since I started this tank. Just recently I started feeding heavier (using pappone) and I've seen the colors start to pop. This is why I haven't pulled out the sunpod yet. I'm hoping to stay with the T5s.

Do you run a skimmer? I found my system was actually skimming too much. A good skimmer in conjunction with a good cleanup crew and some good water changes should take care of your algae/phosphate and mg problems.

any more pics of the plumming

Sorry, those are the only pics of the plumbing I have. I have since removed the closed loop and installed 2 tunze nanos. The design of the plumbing I had was terrible anyways. If you go the plumbing route with a closed loop, make sure you use spaflex and try to eliminate as many turns as possible. My setup restricted too much flow.

Aside from that, if you want some plumbing that wasn't done to its optimum potential I have it all sitting in storage. ;)

I have the CS65 as well, but modded quite a bit. Its actually pretty good for that size tank. How old is your system? I can't see much for algae in your video. Looks good to me.:)
