LOOKS GOOD!

One of the corals you have is frogspawn. Do you plan on keeping any more corals? IF so you might wanna upgrade those lights.

The corals look a bit peeved. Had you just moved them over? Looks like the tank is off to a great start. One thing you may want to consider is either painting the back or covering it with some poster board to hide all those cords. Another suggestion os to move one of the powerheads to the other sidce of the tank for more of a random flow rather than all the flow going in one direction.

thanks guys i think i will do that with the powerheads when i get home as for the corals i have just transfered them so there a little hurting right now
I just bought that light so no upgrade think ill just get some low light corals how would an anonome fair in the tank

I just dont want algae like in my old tank it ruined it so im using the RO water any other suggestions

thanks this is a great forum

Looks like your off to a great start. I agree with sugar, about painting the back and moving one of the power heads. I have also heard that if you take those end caps off the power heads it increases the flow a lot.

One more suggestion, I would take that sand sifting star out and sell it to another local reefer with a much more established tank, or trade it back into your LFS, it surely will die in a short time with nothing to eat in a new tank.

Good luck and keep up the great work.

you should dump the canister filter and opt for a skimmer its more efficent at eliminating the protiens before they brake down..that could also be part of your algae issues not sure what type of filtration you were using perviously but i've seen a 125 with just 2 canister filters and LR as the method of filtration and its a complete algea farm with really high phophates and correct me if im wrong but aren't humo triggers non-reef safe????

I raised the trigger from almost birth so its well behaved it doesnt mess around and i have a skimmer just that small biocube type on which i will set up as well as the canister should do it i hope
