I wish you would have waited, I know where a hybrid achilles is at right now in NJ for 50 bucks. Just saw him yesterday and the LFS has no clue what it is. If I had the room I would get it, but I have my 3 tangs and no room.
 
Nice!!!! Buy it..............They are not as easy to get as some state. The diver I spoke to in Hawaii only gets about 1 a month.....
 
Thanks. Hows the hybrid compare to keeping a goldrim or an achilles? Easier? harder? Thanks!

Well not sure......Keeping an achilles requires some skill and understanding of the fish. I would assume and don't hold me to this...That the combination of the Gold Rim and Achilles would make the fish a little hardier. I think Gold Rims are easier fish to keep.

I can tell you so far this fish loves seaweed and algae.....He picks at the algae sheet like crazy....He will not touch mysis in the water column. I put a rock from my refugium in the QT that was loaded with feather caulerpa.....within a day the rock was clean.....I just ordered some marco rock to put in my refugium so I have more to put in the QT...
 
So far so good with the fish....Have had him since Friday and still looks clean....I have noticed some flashing and frequent visits to the cleaner gobies but no visible signs of crypt. I think I am just going to leave things alone for a while and see how it goes.....

I am tempted to just leave the fish in QT for a couple months without treating. My past luck with copper treatments has a lot to be desired.....
