my new addiction is rock anemones

so my new addiction is rock anemones. last week i ordered 5 of them and cant wait to get more. hey i also want to see your sweet bright colored rock flower anemones.

Wow those are gorgeous. I notice VIP takes its pictures under very blue lighting to make the colors pop. What lighting are you using? Any pics of what they look like under 10K?

I've got an Aquatic Life LED system that's programmable so I can tweak the colors heavily. That same anemone in the picture looks a lot different in my tank. The way I've got my colors set, the tentacles are more of a metallic pink/orange and the central disk is a deeper metallic green. I have no idea how they got the center of this thing to look so blue in that picture because I've tried tons of colors out with this lighting system and didn't bring up much blue on him. But this is an incredibly beautiful animal that would look good on the side of the road and I like the way he looks now better than in their picture.

The colors are enhancing quite a bit and are noticeably deeper and more metallic just in the couple of weeks I've had him. He's a good eater and has stayed in the place I first put him so he's really just what I wanted and where I wanted him which is nice.

I'd take a picture now but my lights are cycling down and he's recovering from getting shoved by a big thug of a Mexican Turbo (who now lives in the sump awaiting extradition back to the LFS) but I'll post some tomorrow.

Very nice! I'm a lil Nemcrazy and I'm liking rock anemones more too. But do they get along with carpets?

I think rock flowers will get along with just about all anemones. They seem to have a pretty weak sting.
