My new Aquapod 24

Ok, so Im downsizing from a 65 gal tank, the reason I like the AP is because you cant see any of the equiptment.
I ordered the tank from Drs Foster and Smith, the first one had a milky blemish in the bend of the glass, the second one had two deep scratches on the out side of the glass.
Ok, so the third tank arrived today, this one had a milky blemish in the bend of the glass too. I think its a manufactures defect. I cant wait any more, so this ones staying.
I picked up the stand today as well, a local cabinet shop made it for me, I think it turned out nice.
The tank is milky, but I put some rock in and Im gonna wait until tommrow to put the livestock it.

Oh, and I modified the outlet, so theres 2 holes. The one closer to the bottom has a maxijet 1200 with the y connecter and locline. I will put a maxi jet 600 in the top hole.

Nice stand! I have the AP 24g also. Its nice, I like the fact those most everything is hidden (except my skimmer.) What do you plan on putting in there?

Thank you. I ordered the Remora Nano last nite. I was hoping for a used one because I hate the micro bubbles from a new one. Plus my corals are already stressed enough from being moved around.
I think some of my stuff is going to be too big for ths AP.
I have a nice pagoda cup, a big candy cane, clam, 2 tonga mushrooms, some palys, and a bunch of kenya. I will be adding them tonite. I will post more pictures after. =)

Haha, heard many stories about people wanting to kill those things. What are you going to do with all the other live rock? Too bad you dont live in Chicago, I would have purchased a good 3 lbs of your smaller pieces.

I had the same problem with defects in my nano, except mine is an AquaPod and I got it from Petsolutions. The first one had milky blemishes, i sent it back, the second one was cracked, and the third has a black mark on the side glass, but I kept that one because I was tired of sending them back.

Dont use a nano skimmer, put a remora on the back. I have both a remora and a refuge on the back. Both fit perfectly and take up the entire space. They are also not very visible because of the light box.


Did you get the 70w or the 150w?
