My new baby Onyx

Been wanting to get an Onyx for awhile now and finally picked up this cutie. It is about 1 year old. Now I will have to find a suitable anemone for hosting.

Where did you get your from since you live in Chicago? I got mine from kerusso318 (Mitch) who is in Algonquin. It was pretty awesome being able to see all of the spawning pairs and the hundreds of little clowns he was raising.

Actually I got it at the last CMAS swap meet. It was on a whim, my daughter fell in love with them. I had an empty tank and I have always thought they were very pretty fish and I have never owned a perc. I am so happy I bought it, turned out to be my favorite clown. I wish I knew who sold it to me, it is a very attractive onxy. I can post a picture, I have some in phot bucket.

I should have said since hosting, it has developed some unsightly black blotches that seem pretty common. I have it with a b/w ocellaris, I plan to separate them soon, they are getting a little too cozy.

Here is the same fish when I first purchased it prehosting you can see it has less black and it's 3rd stripe is less noticable. I just hope with time the blotches get less noticable. I always thought bta's cause onyx to fade and loose thier black.
