well the tank finished cycling 3 days ago and i started adding the fish.

added this pair on the first day.

added these 3 on the second day

on the third day i added a pair of black clowns.

and then today i added the show pieces

achilles ate within 5 mins of being in the tank. and also started eating pellets.

I see your using H20cean salt.. wait to you see what it does to your corals. I love it. been using NSW for years and ever since Roger turned me on to that salt there is no turning back...

im impressed. Im sure its not as easy as it looks adding the trim and stain/finish to a stand thats already setup. What will you be using as filler? On wood floors Ive used the fine sawdust from the sanding mixed with laquire sealer for fill but In your case I think I would go with a wood tone caulking.

just for this tank. my 210 is on NSW. I might make the switch. i like it so far

luckily there is not much to fill. i got the stainable caulk

the achilles tang is super active more then any other tang that i have. no wonder he needs to eat 3 times a day. i feed him some pellets and nori through out the day and then salt water multi pack for dinner.

my lights should be here this week, i went with 2 tek t5ho 36" 6 bulb fixtures.

how much do the archilies tangs go far? this is the first time ive seen one and im kinda liking it lol nice tank so far man! cant w8 to see some corals in it

achilles tangs are expensive and are becoming less available to the hobby. they are a high demand species and you have to be ready to devote time and patience. i feed him 3 times a day to keep him fat and healthy on the other hand my Hybrid powder blue in my 210 eats 1 time a day and is fat and healthy. the achilles tang in my opinion needs a tank of atleast 6 feet in length to live happily. he swims around the tank all day non stop.
