I was kidding, posted on here a couple days ago about one of my clams gaping and i believe I'm going to have to euthanize it tonight if things aren't better.
Looking at your picture, your clam looks kinda "upside down" to me. Although he may eventually right himself, they typically have the portion of their shell below the intake siphon resting on the substrate. Croceas typically are happiest on a solid substrate, like LR or something substantial.
That is a nice clam. I had always wanted a few and finally got some about a year ago. If I could keep the freakin cleaner wrasse out of it's gills, it would open larger...
Here is my favorite. It was upside down in this shot, too, but is has been corrected.
