my new cool bubble

I love green bubbles and just happened to run across this at the critter a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get the big tank going to put all my new cool stuff in I am collecting. It is so pretty opened up and a real feeding pig!

Anyone have a name for this? I picked it up for $5 mostly dead about a year ago and it has came back nice! It is real deep yellow and has real tiny polyps. I thought it was a cup coral but the polyps are very tiny. It is encrusting the rocks around it now.

Notice the hammer about to touch it in the lower corner. I have got to get the big tank up. Everything has literally taken off with the 10K bulbs I put in a few months ago. I have noticed everything color up and growth rates are wonderfull. I kinda like the tank not as blue also. But thats just me :)

And here is one of my baskets of zoa frags I have been collecting the past few months or so. I have a lot of duplicates after I got everyone attached as tons were just free floaters from the frags. So I will be bringing them to the swap. The colors are not true either because they have just been hanging out under very old PC bulbs for months so they have all lost there pop but I am sure with time and good lights they will shine again.

And look what happens when your hubby keeps banging into your favorite brain months on end with the mag float!! I kept telling him he would hurt it one day but he didn't belive me. It has stopped dieing back from the big gash and hopefully will be fine. I could kill him sometimes :(

Should I try and break off the exposed skeleton or just leave it be?

Well, No more pics tonight. My mother only has dial up and I am really tired of the 5 min uploads!! Good night all!

Your id looks like a turbinaria (scroll coral) to me angela. I'd leave the brain alone. Sweet basket of zoa's/paly's by the way. You could sell that on ebay for a nice price i'm sure. Are those blues at 11 o'clock that blue in person?

Yea Daniel they are real blue. All the colors look so washed out and not true with my camera. And most have really lost there pop under the bare minimum lights for so long in the holding tank. I am really liking the zoa collecting. They come in so many nice colors. But some can be redicously expensive on line.

you do have some nice zoos Angela. Please let me know where you got those blue ones. I have been looking for some like that. That bubble is wow. The green ones are a lot nicer than the white. Also, thanks very much for tank sitting while I was on vacation!

That seems to look like an encrusting monti.. Does it look anything like the one I have with green polyps?

Nice shots by the way. I wish I could get my camera to work like that.

I got the blues from a guy getting out who originally got them from one of them online 10 packs I think. I think the coral is more like a scroll from my coral book. Its not a very good book for IDing though. Hope everything is OK with the tank!

Angela,
Here's my scroll coral... Looks similar... My polyps stay extended about 24/7 though...
