My new fishy

I got my majestic angel after much searching.

He's about 1.5" and just a beautiful fish. He is afraid of me but I saw him nip at some of the food I put in the tank but he hid as soon as he saw me. How long can I expect him to be afraid of people walking through the room

Your qt has lr and clowns in it, right?

He was qt'ed by a friend before being brought home He got a 10+ minute fresh water dip before being put in the display. I was shocked at how well he tolerated the dip too.

Nice fish. I've had mine for about two years and he's grown a little over an inch a year. A shy fish by nature so expect it to run for cover if it feels at all uneasy or spooked. They get a bit bolder with time but still skittish. IMO, the colors of this species are hard to beat. Feed it a good variety of foods. Mine will tear into anything. If it's in the 70 gallon listed, the fish will need a larger system eventually. I think my 120 (5 ft long) is going to be marginal, but they're a slow growing fish so you have some time.
