My new Harlequin Shrimp

Here's one of my new harlequin shrimp munching on an asterina starfish. I got two of the about 2 weeks ago to control my starfish population

Wow, they eat Astarina? I should get one. Do they play well with other inverts?

I recently treated for redbugs so I don't have any other crabs or shrimp. I cannot comment on their compatibility with other inverts. I would be more worried about them being harmed by an agressive tankmate rather than them hurting anything. Especially when they were $23 each. That could be a pretty expensive snack for any one of my fish. I'm having great results getting rid of the asterina though. I know I'll have them for a while cause I still have a lot of starfish to go.

They are very non-confrontational. You just cant have any meaty stars in your tank, serpents and brittle are ok but don't put any decorative starfish in there.

My harlequins have officially decimated my asterina population entirely.

Anyone have any starfish they want to get rid of?

I wonder if it will eat my small serpent starfishes ... I have tons of them

I doubt it. I have some of those in my tank too and they're still there.
