Any advice and tips on these creatures (that isn't already featured on Roys stomatopod page) would be great!
 
Haha, it's probably more down to my appaling camera skills.

Just checking I'd got it right. Would it be ok to feed these guys small sandeels from frozen?

He was in an LFS. I'd wanted a mantis for some time, so I prepared a tank for him.

Good to hear you're enjoying your mantis.
 
yes they are great. he is more social. he lives with two peppermint shrimp, three turbo and doesn't bother them at all. he has been with them for onths too!

That's quite cool. What do you feed yours on?
 
bay scallops, clams and cod/haddock. I mix it up. brine shrimp is to messy and small. once in a while I feed mysis. again it is to small to grab and makes a mess

Sounds pretty grim! Can't be any worse than these sand eels I've got though.

Do you give him the clams in shells or seperate?
