Anthelia sp. and Xenia sp. are different genus. Anthelia grow from an encrusting mat while xenia has a stalk and branches. Looks to be Xenia from the pic, but can't see completely how it is growing from the rock.
I have a pink pumpuing Xenia, It gets spread to the sides rather to the up. Also its stalks are pretty thin.
This rock I brough last week , each stalk is very fat and long and they are less pumping.
I'm not sure because they are so many or what.
I'm still sticking with not regular xenia...its just growing too close together for that imo. Looks more like that anthelia or whatever its called, which as someone said (i think) is a type of xenia i guess.
Looks like silver xenia w/o the lights, too, but very large bunch, Ill have to get a pic of the reef tank at my school, VERY large bunch of pulsing xenia, even a bunch on a large hermit shell, hopefully, a crab will go in it, haha!
