My new Octopus

I thought that I would share a few pictures of my new octopus I bought several weeks ago. I was told that it came from the Carribean, but gave no specific species name.

It has been named "Crush" and has been temporarily living in the refugium of my display tank. His new tank arrived this past weekend and I can hardly wait to get him moved into his new home. New tank has a lot more room and no calupera to manuver around.

Nice octo....how long have those damsels been in there? and he hasn't eaten them??
The damsels have been in there for 3 weeks now. I thought that CRUSH would get them, but either they are to fast, or the calupra is getting in his way of catching them. Then again, he might be lazy and waits for the feeding stick to bring him food...

Here's a picture of Crush's new home at the factory before it was shipped to me. The tank is 48X36X28, with a 45 gallon sump/refugium. The filtration includes a mechanical, chemical, UV, sand filter, skimmer & chiller.

The tank was made with locking lids which should help making escape impossible.
