Better have a tight top as they are excellent jumpers. They would go through egg crate with NO problem. Pretty fish.

This guy is too big to fit thru the small eggcrate. He did however hit the eggcrate when he was added to the tank. This guy is fairly thick

Nice fish. A friend of mine has kept one for some time now. If yours looks similar to his the photos probably don't do it justice.

Lots of fish look to big to fit through egg crate....

Just like I thought my big male C. argi was too big, well one day I was trying to catch it and was using an eggcrate divider in the tank and he decided he'd try and swim through, well he got stuck and I couldn't pull him out because his fin spines and gills/gill spines kept getting caught, so I forced him through and he did fine, AND FIT!

Your wrasse could jump and get stuck too...

Either way nice fish!

i have one and he is a model citizen but don't kid yourself as they are escape artists also . they can and will get through egg crate and you will need some 1/4" screening in order for them to not jump through it . trust me ~ been there and done that .

parts are coming from BRS to make some screens. Good news in the meantime is that it is 3 smaller openings on an acrylic tank

Pretty fish! It's like the one I used to have. My canopy was jumper proof, but he still managed to jump out without me knowing when I had the top open when I was cleaning the glass. :( I heard a splash, but didn't see anything and thought nothing of it. After I was done cleaning, my cats were very interested in something behind the tank. He was still alive, but too late to save.

Those mesh tops work great BTW. I had them on my 150 gallon and they kept in my anthias and tilefish. They are easy to make too and you can hardly see them when they are on the tank and don't block any light.
