My new Photon48

Got the photon today. Here it is at c1 10 c2 11. Sat it right on top of my glass tops for now. Using the website settings with 25/30 max. Lots to figure out and tweak. Seems to be built like a tank.

I have the photon 16 on a 40 g. It is 9 inchs from the water,When I just put it up I had it set to 30/25 but that kinda bleached some of my corals, just my experience . I would recommend to start lower

Cool, thanks for the info. Trying to decide whether to hang it or just leave it on the glass. I don't have any corals yet, tank just finished cycling a week or two ago. What channel ratio and intensities did you settle on?

I'm still having trouble with mine, my corals aren't doing that great. I'm not blaming the LEDs ,I'm fighting off the byropsis algae pretty bad to right now. But I have mine go up to a max of 30 blue and 15 white peak. Slowly ramp up and down. I had this light on my tank for 9 months. I can't seem to find the happy spot lol. So I'm not sold on LEDs yet,That's why I will try a halide fixture just to see what's going on. But I would def pick it up off the glass some, LEDs penetrate water really well. I par meter would help a lot to which I don't have.

A co-worker has the 48 inch and I am going to his house next week to read par. I will report what I find. He has a 72 gallon bow front.
