killerreef's red margin is the indo-pacific variant while texsun's one is the fiji/vanuatuan variation.
since both fishes are posted in the same page, the differences are evident. fiji/vanuatuan males have an extra pink stripe just below the dorsal fin. and the yellow spots on a dark chest is more evident also.
the term super male is used casually on male fairy wrasses that have reached the terminal male phase. this means that they are usually the largest and most sexually active male in the harem in the wild. of course, the colours are at the brightest and usually pelvic fin and other finnage will be at maximum growth length.
not to mention the capability of prolonged and fully developed "flashing" of nuptial colouration.
I saw a picture of a Large Fijian initial phase Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse. The picture does not show the second pink stripe below the dorsal. Is this something that will develop as the fish matures?
