My new purple neospongodes

Picked this up a few weeks ago. So far it's still on the floor of my tank. Any tips on keeping it? I'm under the impression that it is photosynthetic, correct?

It's what used to be called Lemnalia, and it's definitely photosynthetic.

Excellent news. The LFS I got it from has a yellow one too. I was thinking of getting it, and putting them side by side, to accentuate the purple of this one, but wanted to make sure I wasn't buying NPS corals

I still haven't decided on a permanent location for these on the rocks... Hopefully this weekend.

They are actually both quite large. The purple opens up to about 5" tall/wide. The yellow is a good 7" tall.

As for fragging, probably not that daring just yet I don't have any experience with this coral, so we'll see how things go...

Those are beauties, Peter! I'd love a similar pair, but I haven't been able to locate any aside from the captive grown frags available on LA (and those are listed as Stereonepthya, not Neospongodes, so I'm not sure they're the same). Did you get yours online by any chance? If so, where?
