My new RBTA

Well Kurt was finally able to free up the RBTA and I picked it up the other day.

I put it at the opposite side of the tank from my 2 GBTAs and over the span of the last couple days it moved all the way across the tank to the same rock as the 2 GBTAs.

Do you think this will pose a problem?? The tentacles are touching and none of the anemones seem to be retracting. The cinnamon clown absolutely loves it!! :)

Not sure what it is about that rock but the 2 previous anemones I had also went to that rock. The light and flow in that area must be what every anemone is looking for. :)

I also have 2 GBTA's and a RBTA and the three of them are around or near each other all the time. I've never had an issue. The three of them have been together for almost 2 years.

are GBTAs and RBTAs the same thing???

Are they in the same family??? I don't know.

I'm guess the only difference is, one is a green bubble tip and the other is a rose.

but scientifically... are they the same (other than color)? like the way hammers and frogspawns can live together. can GBTAs and RBTAs live together?

yes, they are both E. Quadricolor.. just different color variations. i have had both colors. some were ok touching and some didnt like touching. just depends. if they seem like they are bothering eachother then move them apart..if not, let em be.

Shaun,
That was near my GBTA before it split...they got along fine.

I was really more concerned with it touching the GBTA, wasn't aware that they are in the same family.

They have all been touching tentacles :) for the past 2 days with no problems. So, I'm gonna leave 'em.

Thanks!!
