New story starts here...
After losing the blue haddoni yesterday, I called about 30 LFS within 200 miles and found a few that had red and blue haddoni's in stock... So I drive up to Long Beach and the first store has a beautiful red haddoni! It's 8" when fully open.
So I picked it up.. I was extremely fortunate to get this one because another family was making a decision on him but then I snatched it... Also, while paying for him at the cash register, another guy walks in and then tells us he came there to pick up that haddoni too..
Anyway, now I am 100% convinced the shipping caused the blue haddoni to die. During the acclimation process of this red one, I had a difficult time placing him in the tank. He was so sticky!!! The blue one just fell right in.. Also, this red one I could actually see its foot. The blue one was just a big blob and actually never planted his foot.
Anyway, here are the pics...
This is just opening the bag and starting the drip.. i didn't have to float because the water was already 78'! This was a two hour drive back home but the air was warm and kept the bag warm.
This is him in the tank.. so far looks good. His mouth looks tightly closed but I cant get a good pic of it. This is 30 mins in the tank:
I'll be watching it closely!!!
