Who was the tank manufacturer??? Looks like the stand came out fantastic!!! Great looking home for a gorgeous haddoni!!!

Totally jealous of you folks on the west coast... I wanted a LeeMar tank when I upgraded... Ended up with a Deep Sea Aquatics 185... Of course now my wife won't let me set it up until we remodel that room, but whatever... lol ;)

Is anything picking at it? The tentacles near 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock appear to be picked off. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

Hmm don't think so. There's no fish in the tank right now. I got a tang and didn't QT it, and got the tank infested with ich. I removed the fish and have to leave the display tank fallow for the next 12 weeks. SUCKS!

Any shrimp or anything? From the picture in post 61 is look a bit worse -- the bare spot.

Hmm strange.. I'll keep an eye out on it. Right now, only thing in the tank are snails and a small Halloween hermit. I do have a tiny pom pom crab but I havent seen him in a few days.

The bare patches may have ocurred before 125mph acquired the anemone. Mine had similar 'sparse' areas when I first bought it but they do appear to be re-growing now I've had it for a few weeks.

If you look at the post/pictures below, from 2 months ago, the bare patch really wasn't there; it appears to be getting worse, at least to me.

Well, he's looking better. Mouth is much more tighter and he is expanded.. I changed the water and removed one of the window screens last night so not sure which it was, probably both!

Pics as promised...

Day5:

Mouth is hard to take a pic of because he is so burred in the sand.

Before I gave my green handdoni to my lfs for in store credit(only got $10 for it! The thing was pretty close to a foot in diameter when fully opened! Ohh well I just didn't want him to die when I am able to start adding my live stock. Still trying to catch a damsel to let the tank fallow for 8 weeks...) it had bare spots towards the center of the oral disk. They wern't too bad, this is the best pic I have of him that shows the bare spots...

Not trying to be a downer here, but there is a difference b/t the bare area near the mouth and the bare spots on 125's haddoni.

Just a few radiating lines from the mouth area, like below, and now whole spots that are bare,

They should grow back? I had the nem in a friend's tank for a couple weeks while I upgraded from my old 60 cube to the 120 tank. Took a while to dial in the calcium reactor, get the bio reactor running, and make sure things were stable. Maybe something he had picked at it.

If the cause was from the other tank (( so that it doesn't continue in yours )) and you give it the proper conditions, yes they will go back. I have had ones will worse bald spots that were back to normal within a month or two.

I really want a red handdoni now looking at all these pictures lol! Now I am going to have to decide between BTA's and the red handdoni... Which would host a pair of ocellaris better? I would definantly get the red handdoni if I can get one on sale or something, maybe a christmas present this year haha!

The ocellaris probably won't take BTA, if they do take it, it would be very lucky.

I wouldn't call it lucky to have E. quadricolor host occellaris.. This is by far the most common combination in the hobby. And given enough time, the clowns seem to almost alway find their way to the anemone. However, you may have to be a little more patient for the symbiosis to occur as this is not a natural combination.. Haddoni isn't a natural host either.
