nobody does with the lil sedras, thats not your fault ;) 300LPH is ok, thats about what my deltec got and it worked fine for me.

if your looking for dryer foam consider raising your skimmer if you are happy with what your getting now dont change anything.

thats 36 hours skimmate on my 80g system.
 
i drilled some holes in the PVC and attached them with zip ties its nice and solid, i need to get one more PVC bushing for the center, i only got 4

thanks for your help CleveYank the skimmer is really easy to adjust at 6 inches i think i have found the "sweet Spot"
 
I love PVC couplings for supports.
I used your setup for frag rack in my 20 gallon rig I had at the last frag swap.
My live rock goes onto the 4 inch slip couplings (this is larger ID sleeve that you glue two runs of pipe together with) for support just above a sandbed.
