My new Tank

I picked up the 90g from Gateway. I need to make a friend with a truck so I can buy a bigger tank. Literality tried to fit the 93g in my car and had to put it back in the shop :D

I got a really great chunk of live rock, sand and a WP-40. Tomorrow I am moving everything over into the new tank, I'm really excited. The only thing I'm worried about is the size of my sump, I may need to move up a size.

I could just buy a truck, but I'm really in the market for an old VW bus if anyone knows anyone selling. later taters.

Congrats. Did you ask Chad or Dave if they would deliver the tank to you? I'm sure they would for a few bucks.

I didn't ask, I had looked at the Normal 90 for a while, but kind of wanted the 93 so I wouldn't have to get a new light for the larger tank foot print. After talking with Dave, the cost of a sump that would fit the 93's stand and a few more MP's then I already had pushed the cost way past just a nicer light. I have a kessil 360w and 150w now (could put up my old 250w MHs), but I think I am going to move to the AI Hydra 52 HD with the controller as my next upgrade, then an apex unit. The hydra's are getting excellent reviews.
Its in place now, and I am filling it with water. Its a great weekend.

Ive gotta great sump for a cube tank for sale.

lol I saw that. I think your sump is the same size as the tank I would have been getting :). The standard fits nice in my den, I'm just hoping the fish wont be bothered by my TV across from them. Plus now the stand has plenty of room for all the junk I had hung on the wall next to my smaller cube, to be honest it was getting a bit out of hand. It started with just a simple PH meter...the next thing I knew the wall looked like Vegas with a 40g reef tank next to it. So the bigger stands a good thing.

Late last night I finished moving the livestock into the new tank. It's still only only about 60g's full. I put heaters lights and a power head in with them. This morning everything seemed happy, angry but happy. I'm thinking I'm going to need some scaping putty, and I'm going to get another large chunk of that primo live rock Gateway has.

I should have the plumbing going by midweek, I'll post some pictures then.

Did the hard plumbing today. Everything is in place and my water has been siting over night and is ready for the tank. I aquascaped it but need some putty for a few small parts. My green Favia took a really bad sting from my meat coral, 1/4 of it wiped out. Its to bad, it wasn't expensive but it was a looker.
I am expecting my chem's to be a bit whacky for a while due to the move, I think I will have a few minor cycles and maybe a major.
So far I really am digging the bigger tank.

This is just after I moved the rocks around and put the WP40 in. The waters all messy and the corals are all closed, I still need to finish filling the tank so I can get it turning over.

I made a mistake and hard cemented a PVC drain return pipe from the bottom drain nut to the female connection to my Mag-drive-5 without first adding in the slip-joint. Tomorrow, I will have to cut the PVC and add the joint in, I would rather not but I know I should while I'm still motivated to do it.
