My new tank :)

No my friend, unfortunately its bitter salt in both our mouths:(

My very first pic and post was the last few images I managed to squeeze out of the thing. No litteraly, the notch and spring that allow you to close the batteries got busted so you actually had to focus, shoot, and hold the batteries from falling out all at the same time. Ok with all my shots cept for Alex that youve seen have all been like this, cats out of the bag;I hate being a jeri-rig master, its like Im a magnet for it or something:rolleyes:

Now with all the car trouble I got goin on (3 to be exact) a digital is outta the picture, but a few days ago I was thinking "f it" and probably just get film for one of my 35's layin around here and do it the ol fashioned way,and got a scanner sittin here not being used...

Your absolutely right John this thread deserves it , I love seein the threads like this too. And Ive been very fortunate so far and this tank is doing just that becoming very alive and beautifull in its own right:)

Well, Im pretty excited:)
I just finished acclimating my pink skunk clown in this 30g and he is in! My first fish :D

But I took a serious gamble and have also added a green bubble tip anenome from John at yourreef. My water is in excellent condition, and is looking like Im raising a amphipod farm so I know there is plenty of live food. A few hours have past and the GBTA is already attached and opened up ready to receive his new buddeh :DIll let you know when they make the:inlove: connection.

Hopefully I can find that camera John and I can have some pictures for you tomorrow :D

Right on Justin, looking forward to it. Let us all know how it is going. Do you have a stocking plan? Hope your skunk and BTA get togeather soon.
Good luck!

Right On Justin! Funny, we even added our first fish (clowns) oin the same day. R U Copying me? LOL

Hey Did You ever ID that little crab hitchhiker you had. I just spy'd a little crab hiding in a rock crevice... I couldnt catch him without removing the rock so he is still in there, but I'm curious as to what he is so I can banish him if I need to.

John: Next day so far so good, the BTA has moved more toward the back, but is still attached and healthy looking. It moving toward the back is not going to be a problem since this is a three sided viewing system, muhahwhaa ;) As far as the stocking, no I dont really have a plan. The feeble plan I did have kinda got thrown out the door once I picked up the skunk clown. So Im going to have to get a more docile community, similar to my other one. More than likely I will be back to yourreef to pick up one of his six line wrasse. I use to think they're ugly but the idea has really been growing on me and after I saw John's lil guys I was sold. But as far as others Im at a loss for ideas. I could squeeze in(eventually) up to 3 small schoolers or 2 sm-md different fish. Im kinda leaning to diversity rather than schoolers unless they had some nice flash/colors. I would like to try a spotted shrimp goby as they're fairly solitary and small, Ive had one before and there very fascninating to watch :

Any suggestions would be fantastic.

TK: No I never did, and havent seen him since;but im sure hes in there ;) More than likely the one I had would be the bannishing kind, but theres nothing in the 15g, except a sm. xenia, zoo, and mushroom frag along with some calaurpa; so no big loss if he gets a wild hair. And hes mutch to small and timid to sweat my yellow tail damsels I currently have.

Justin, a weir is like a hang-on overflow but it takes up less space. I noticed a picture above that appeared to be a weir.

Is your tank drilled or are you using the overflow you posted above?

Lee

Okay, ya :) Im using the overflow in the pic above;its like a nockoff of teh CPR overflow. I bought myself an aqualift per Arlan and Rians suggestion, and there right. Takes alot of frustration off my shoulders thanks again guys;)

Well I got another wild hair myself and ended up taking the cabbage out of my 55 and into the 30 along with my toadstool. Those two were some of my very first successfull coral I started out with. Theyve been in the water maybe 10 minutes now and there polyps are already out!Im flabbergasted! These coral took me weeks to open up in my 55! I do keep the same salinity level and temperature in both tanks so its obviously a contributing factor.Nevertheless I am stoked to say the least:D

Well Im using my new pocket pc my boss gave me for a quick fix so bear with the coloring and quality, but this will definately give you an idea :)

Justin where did you get the overflow from?

could you provide a link?

If you do an overflow;sump search on ebay you should see them, they sold for 25 bucks plus shipping, around 40 bucks drop shipped to your door.

I agree Sheldon, Im seeing macro pop up that Ive never seen before and is quite cool looking, some spiraly tea cup shapes and micro umbrella looking stuff, really neat though. For some reason the spectrum the bulbs put off make the camera pics look really purpley? Is that a word ? :D But in person is a blue-white.

-Justin

That sort of feathery shaped macro on the left of your second to last shot came up on some of my rock. Looked cool but when I put the rock in a tank with a sailfin tang it lasted about 2 minutes. And I thought they liked gracilia! In any case keep the pictures coming.

Until I learned over the weekend that Im not very conscientious having an anenome amongst cnidarians:rolleyes: Ahh,live and learn;)What an awesome weekend though.Couldnt help but brag at work, people are like ya whatever, thats nice justin :p
