my new yellow watchman goby

2 Days ago I bought a yellow watchman goby. The morning after I got him he was acting fine and eating normally, however, when I got home from work that night I noticed that he had somehow managed to get a rather extensive injury to his bottom lip. Being that he is the only thing in the tank besides LR and a few snails I have no idea how he managed this. He got really pale, but I kept the lights off and slowly his color is returning, and now he is almost back to normal, But he still won't eat. I am trying to keep the lights off as much as I can to reduce stress, but I would really appriciate anymore suggestions. Thanks everyone!

My yelllow watchman did the exact same thing. I think he was attacked by a emerald crab- or picked up a rock too big for him and snapped his lower jaw. I see him about every other 3 days. So far- he is still alive and tries to eat something.

hmm... thanks- mine is not looking so hot right now... hes not eating and swimming really sparadically- he totally broke his jaw. I think he is on his way out because i cannot think of anything to do for him...

ive had him for 2 weeks now. As soon as I saw his injury I put some anti-bacteria stuff in the tank and shut off the skimmer/UV (as per directions) He hid for a few days and I see him every once in a while now. However, I have not actually seen him in 3 days- he might have finally bit the ghost. The funny thing is- everytime I say that I see him the next morning.
