Looks like it is doing good under the halide light. Looks like it doesnt need the shade. Here is a pic I just took. It even comes out during the day.

Thanks. I need to just keep feeding well and I hope the top will fill out more. How fast does this coral spread and grow?

That's a non-photosynthetic coral as I understand, and would do just as well in the closet as it does under MH. If you're not target feeding it a couple times a week, I wouldnt expect it to grow at all. Growth rate will depend on a number of factors, but feeding would be one of the biggest.
